When We Are Closedclosed_sign

If you need to access a health professional in an emergency between 20:00 and 08:00 Monday to Friday or after 12:00 on Saturday for the weekends and bank holidays, you should call NHS 111. This is a free telephone number for when your complaint is less urgent than 999.

  • Your call will be answered by a dedicated team.
  • They will ask some questions to assess the urgency of the call. You may be passed to a nurse for further assessment and advice.
  • appointments are given based on the urgency of your call.
  • Not every caller will need to see a doctor.

In addition your pharmacist may be able to help you.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
